Strategies

MEDIA, ART, CULTURE, AND HEALING

We believe we need a cultural shift while healing ourselves and our environment to achieve a just transition in the Gulf South. We are working together to create a new narrative for our folks and our fights.

Bridge The Gulf and Radical Arts and Healing Collective are core partner organizations in this work.

We are also collaborating with Working Films on the StoryShift project. Please submit your media here for consideration!

We are also collaborating with Cry You One on bringing the closing run of their show home to New Orleans in October of 2017.

POLITICAL POWER BUILDING AND PEOPLES POLICY DEVELOPMENT

We believe we must galvanize our communities to be part of a just transition for our people and our planet. We believe in coordinated policy advocacy across our localities, regions and nation.

Earth Action and BOLD Louisiana are core partner organizations in this work.

Current policy efforts include ongoing efforts to watchdog use of RESTORE/BP Settlement funds as well as fighting the Bayou Bridge pipeline project in Louisiana.

Stay tuned here for more information about what’s to come, and be sure to follow Another Gulf Is Possible on Facebook.

DECOLONIZED DIRECT ACTION

We believe in the power of civil disobedience and direct action through a decolonized framework to directly challenge our elected decision makers and corporate control.

The following are land and water protector camps in the Gulf South fighting oil and gas pipelines that need your support. Please contact camps directly for further information, we are amplifying and supporting efforts, not organizing them as a collaborative.
